The 400 metre long track is used only by speed skaters. Resurfacing is done by a large zamboni. There is a little shack at trackside, on the plateau. Races are held at this track, weather permitting.
The fifty acre park is a multipurpose recreational facility with a Nordic ski trail, tobogganing, sleigh rides, and a small lake in a former quarry which is used for public skating in the winter. The lake is well sheltered from the cold wind and is quite popular. There's a chalet at the lake with fast food, washrooms and locker rooms.
Other activities include visits to the astronomical observatory, farm (with various animals), and greenhouse.
